County Meath doesn’t have a very long coastline, but there are beaches within reach of Duffys of Ballybin in Bettystown, Termonfeckin or Portrane.
The beaches are sandy and – subject to common sense and adult supervision – are usually safe for bathers.
After a long day at the beach, nothing beats the hunger like a feed of fish and chips. In Ratoath some of the nicest fish & chips or pizzas are served in Katy’s, or Macari‘s, both on the main street.
In Ashbourne, you can get fish and chips in San Remo’s or Macari’s Cafe.
